Donacarbo from ASK Chemicals are pitch based carbon fibres which have been carbonized or graphitized before chopping and milling into a variety of fibre lengths and diameters. These products are especially useful for applications such as screeds or coatings for warehouse floors, computer and clean rooms as their high electrical conductivity allows for the formulation of antistatic and conductive coatings. Depending on the flooring system, it is possible to achieve electric resistivities of approximately 103 to 106.

In comparison to carbon black and graphite used in similar applications, Donocarb has a lower impact on colour so is well suited to applications where lighter colours are required thus offering greater formulation flexibility.
